Pacific Bitcoin Hackathon

Stackchain will be at the Pacific Bitcoin Hackathon on November 9, 2022. Stackchainers are looking for developers to help develop the Stackchain Dashboard. This vital tool will help Stackchain with Stackjoin management, Mempool management, and organize Stackchain data.

An application helping Stackchainers to organize, access, and use Stackchain data.

What is the Stackchain Dashboard?

The Stackchain Dashboard is an application that allows Stackchainers to organize, access, and use stackchain data.

Key Features:

Assisting in Stackjoins and Mempool Management

Displaying The Tip

Displaying Stackchain statistics

Organizing and displaying memes (The MemePool)

The most desired function of the Stackchain Dashboard are Stackjoins and Mempool management.

Stackjoins & Mempool Management

With increasing Stackchain block height, Stackjoins are becoming ever more important. Stackjoins are the future of Stackcahin.

What is a stackjoin?

A stackjoin is a stack of bitcoin contributed to the Stackchain that is less then the required amount to stack the current tip.

Design Considerations

Not all features need to be automated.

It should always be a Stackchainer that posts a Stackjoin to the tip. This is crucial part of the Proof-of-Work of Stackchain.

The systems' goal is to make Stackjoins and the Mempool more accessible to Stackchainers and lessen the burden of manual management.

In the future we may see thousands of individual transactions needed to build one block on Stackchain.

The system should take into account a minimum number of validators to consider a Stackjoin as a valid block.

Required fields here would be Twitter username, USD amount of Stackjoin, and link to Tweet containing their screenshot.

The dashboard should have future support for non-Twitter, user submitted posts so that Stackchain can take transactions from users outside of Twitter or anonymous transactions.

Other Important Functions

These features are important and need talented coders to build them.

Stackchain statistics

Statistics are an important outreach and analitical tool that needs to be built. We need to be able to display, track and analyze data from Stackchain. We would want to track block height, fiat burned, and total bitcoin accumulated.

The Stackchain Memepool

Not be be confused with Mempool. Memes are one of the best parts of Stackchain. A library and catalog of memes and their associated blocks would be an important tool to build. We would need to be able to view, search, and catalog memes made on Stackchain.

Displaying The Tip

The dashboard should display the tip most recently marked by particular nodes. The tip data can be gathered from @StackchainSig account on Twitter which will use the hashtag #Stackchaintip when the newest stack is added.

If you're unable to attend Pacific Bitcoin and would like to donate to help fund Stackchain, you can do so by sending bitcoin to our multi-sig wallet that's controlled by the Stackchain Dashboard Team. Thank you for your support.
